Family house, Czechia – new building
– facade and interior insulation and protection, reduction of energy consumption (2020)

The owner decided to use ceramic block masonry HELUZ FAMILY 44 ground (λd = 0,082 W/(m.K) with thermal resistance R 4,86 m²K/W) for the construction of his family house.

The total energy reference survey area of the building Ac = 220.5 m².

The design office that prepared the project of the family house presented to the owner 40 mm of thermal insulation plaster on the exterior and 20 mm of thermal insulation plaster on the interior as an option to insulate the walls.

On the basis of the so-called PENB (Performance Energy Performance Certificate for Buildings), it was calculated that the total energy consumption for the whole building would be 12,628 MWh/year when insulated with thermal insulation plaster.

The owner finally decided to use ADITIZOL OPEN for insulation.

On the ceramic blocks HELUZ FAMILY 44 ground was applied ordinary plaster. Subsequently, the surface was primed and ADITIZOL OPEN material was applied on the exterior 1.5 mm and on the interior 0.5 mm.

The owner monitored the total energy consumption and measured the following for the first two years:

First year: from 5/2021 to 5/2022 total energy consumption 7,133 MWh.

Second year: from 5/2022 to 5/2023 total energy consumption 6,854 MWh.

The overall energy consumption using ADITIZOL OPEN has improved significantly.
